The Rotary Club of Hyannis is requesting financial grant proposals from area 501(c) (3) non-profit organizations for consideration by its Community Development Committee and Human Development Committee for submission in January 2019.

Criteria and information are as follows:
  • Geographic Area: Town of Barnstable.
  • Funding Focus: Capital purchases and/or improvements. (We do not fund program services.
  • Time line: All applications must be received by the end of day January 11, 2019.
  • Funds available: The Rotary Club will fund one or more projects from the total budget of $24,000.
  • Grant recipients agree:
    • To allow the Rotary Club of Hyannis to publicize the grant award to you.
    • To publicly recognize the Rotary Club of Hyannis for its grant to you.
    • To communicate to your employees, volunteers and clients urging them to attend our 61ST annual Home, Garden & Lifestyle Show on March 30 & 31, 2019 at Barnstable High School.
  • Proposal contents:
    • Description of organization’s mission, programs and services.
    • Description of the capital purchases and/or improvements (two pages maximum), including the number of people that would be expected to benefit from the capital purchases and/or improvements.
    • Capital purchases and/or improvements budget (one page or less).
    • Most recent fiscal year income statement and balance sheet.
    • List of all members of the staff or governing body (if any) who are members of a local Rotary Club and name of the club.
    • Proof of IRS 501(c) (3) non-profit status.
    • Please include any hands-on service opportunities for the Hyannis Rotary Club.

The Rotary Club of Hyannis Good Works Foundation through the Human Development Committee is accepting proposals for service projects that focus on basic human need and welfare in the town of Barnstable.  This focus includes but is not limited to Food, Shelter, Safety, Medical and Education.
The Committee is looking for innovative programs (no capital funds will be considered, please refer these to the Community Development Committee) within the Town of Barnstable. The Committee has $24,000 to support the winning proposals. Depending on the cost, quality and usefulness of the program proposals there may be one or more awards.
Proposals may not be more than three pages long and should contain background on the organization and specific information about the proposed program, with a budget showing both income and expenses. Please provide 8 Copies.  This information with a copy of the current Board of Directors and proof of non-profit status must be submitted.  The deadline for receipt of proposals is Friday, January 11, 2019.   Any proposals received after that date will not be reviewed. Award recipients will be notified mid February.
Winning proposal(s) must guarantee sending the Committee a  one-year reports on the success of the program.
