Desks for Remote Learning

In December of 2020, Rotarians learned about the need for student desks for remote learning. Partnering with Hyannis West Elementary School, seven children were identified whose families would benefit from a student desk. Hyannis Rotarians quickly rallied to supply the tools, lumber, and labor to build the desks at home. This project continues as we wait for more students in need.

Sewing Machines

In March of 2020 the Rotary Club of Hyannis designated funds for the purchase of four sewing machines. With these sewing machines parents and children alike from the Federated Church of Hyannis put together hundreds of masks for healthcare institutions where accessibility to masks was needed most. The Olson mask was one of the patterns chosen for N95 compliance.
