Welcome

A short twenty years after Rotary was founded in Chicago by Paul Harris, the international organization which promotes Service Over Self arrived on Cape Cod with the founding of the Rotary Club of Hyannis in October 1925. Since that time, Rotary has spread across Cape Cod & The Islands to presently include eleven Clubs. Each is listed by founding date and noted geographically on the Invitation above.
In recognition of these 100 years, the Rotary Club of Hyannis invites all Rotarians from across the Cape, on the Islands, throughout District 7950 and around the world to celebrate this special milestone on Friday evening, October 24th at the new Margaritaville Resort Cape Cod in Hyannis.

Our Celebration features Christine Etienne, Rotary International Director 2024-2026. She is one of just three American Directors on the sixteen-member Rotary International Board, representing Zones 28 and 32. She also serves on the board of directors of the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Rotary Action Group as well as the Haiti National Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Initiative. She is a recipient of The Rotary Foundation's Citation for Meritorious Service and the Distinguished Service Award. She and her husband are Major Donors. When they're not working, they enjoy sailing on the Great Lakes.

Our District Governor Nicole Brien will also join us for the Celebration. She hails from the Rotary Club of Woonsocket, Rhode Island. While her term has just started, Nicole may well go down as one of the most vibrant District Governors of the past 100 years in District 7950. Nicole has served every community she has resided in since she was a child. The word ‘no’ was and is not a part of her vocabulary. She considers herself fortunate to serve our District in the role of District Governor. When she and her husband are not hosting family/ friends or supporting a Rotary event, they love to be by the water, in the mountains, watching NFL football, and cuddling their dogs.
